During my summer travels, I had a chance to soak up all my new design magazines. It's always fun to see how homes and design trends can be different in other areas of the country. It's fun to get away, but so refreshing to get back to the comforts of my own home.
Perhaps I'll bring back a treasure-to remind me of my travels-such as a beloved chalkboard I got in New Hampshire that hangs in my kitchen today.
Once, we were so inspired by the wood floors as a cabin in Michigan, that we came home, ripped up our carpet on two floors and installed lovely hardwoods.
So, here's hoping that your travels inspire your design and decorating ideas for your home-and, that it's always your favorite place to be.
