One for my favorite finishing touches is adding custom pillows to a project. This is often done during the phase of curtain/upholstery and other soft goods design. Sometimes I do the pillow design upon completion of the fabric treatments, and will incorporate new fabrics as well, so as not to have things be too "matchy". A custom pillow can add a hint of glitz and glamour that can't always be found in a store bought pillows.
